How To Fry Zucchini ?

Zucchini is a very cooking friendly vegetable. You can use it however you want and it is the least likely vegetable to get burnt or get dried up in your sauce pan. One of the most popular zucchini dishes is frying it with tempura batter and serving it with a dip. It is a very delicious appetizer. Another popular way of serving it is raw with blue cheese dressing. However, when it comes to frying the zucchini, the tempura batter recipe makes a great dish.

In order to make this dish, heat the oil well enough to fry the zucchini. Wash the zucchini sticks well before using and let them drain the water.

To make the tempura batter, you will need one cup all purpose flour and put in seasoning such as salt, garlic and pepper. Also add one egg beaten thoroughly. Whisk all the ingredients and make a firm paste using the required amount of water. Usually you would have to add about one cup of water mixed with baking soda into the batter. The batter should be thick. You can add one of those readymade tempura mixes into the batter if you like for additional flavor.

You can dip the zucchini slices in the tempura batter and fry them. Deep fry until the slices turn golden brown. Do not take wet hands close to the oil as it will splatter all over. This can dangerous. Stand two feet away while you are frying. You can fry single pieces or fry them in batches. Serve them hot along with a dip of your choice.
