How Do You Cook Broccoli ?


Vegetarian food provides high nutritional value. Chicken, meat or fish are not the only   tasty foods that we see in day-to-day life. We all are acquainted with oats and whole grains which are considered extremely healthy diet. In green vegetables, only certain vegetables head the name of being excellent food. Highly nutritious vegetables are not only good for our health, but also they are good for our skin and brain.

The best vegetable is the green and natural broccoli. Broccoli is not only nutritious, it also prevents certain diseases like cancer. You can get this nutritious broccoli in your grocery store.          

Use broccoli within few days until it keeps on its color. Wash it properly before you cook it. For cooking, cut broccoli’s florets off the stem and then slice into smaller sized pieces. Cut the stem into similar sized chunks. Both stems and florets are very healthy. In addition, they do not take much time to cook. Do not overcook broccoli as it obliterates the nutritional value in it.

You can cook broccoli with both steaming and boiling method. You can consume broccoli with fried fish also. You can say that your broccoli is well cooked when its color and crisp tender goes light green.

If you prefer broccoli with sauces, then find a sauce which is healthy. Some sauces are high in calories and some might contain sodium, which is not recommended as the healthy food. Get the sauce that is light and completely healthy. To confirm the nutritional value, read the nutrition facts on the label before purchasing the sauce.
