Recipes For Baby Corn


Baby corn is a very tasty vegetable. It is used commonly in Asian cuisines. You can find it is Chinese, Thai, Malaysian and Indian cuisines. People have them in soups, noodles, and meat and chicken preparations. They also make individual preparations with baby corn.

Soups can be made using baby corn. You can choose your own flavor in the form of spicy or sweet and sour or just plain soup. You need to cut up the corn into tiny pieces and cook them along with other vegetables like cabbage or celery. Cook it in a pressure pan, and then use the water to make soup. You can add pepper and other garnishing and then serve.

Add baby corn to vegetables like bell pepper, shallots, garlic, tomatoes and cabbage and make hakka noodles. You can buy a readymade garnishing packet from any Chinese store, and add it to the vegetables. Homemade noodles are much tastier. You can prepare rice in the same way.

You can also make snacks with baby corn. For instance, you can dip baby corn in batter made with all purpose flour. Add pepper, oreganos and parsley to the flour along with salt and make a batter. Dip the whole baby corn in the batter and deep fry. You can even add some bread crumbs so that they turn out crispy.

You can stir fry baby corn with herbs like mint and parsley along with paprika. You can add some of the Chinese sauces like soy or other readymade sauces to give it flavor and taste.
