Does Chamomile Tea Have Caffeine ?
Chamomile tea, a close relative of green tea, is known all around the globe for its medicinal properties. This herbal tea or tisane is hundred percent natural and does not contain any caffeine. All forms of real tea typically belong to the same species, botanically named as Camellia sinensis. This species contains very high amounts of caffeine. However, herbal infusions or teas prepared using herbs that do not belong to the family of Camellia sinensis, are free of caffeine. Chamomile tea is one such herbal infusion and hence, does not contain any significant amount of caffeine. The amount of caffeine found in chamomile is negligible and so insignificant that it can be ignored.
