Swedish Bitter Herbs


Swedish bitter herbs are also known as Swedish Bitters in common language. These herbs were locally grown in Sweden and that is why they were called Swedish Bitter Herbs. However, what is commonly sold as Swedish Bitter herbs is actually a mixture of various herbs.


The herb mixture was first developed by physicists in Sweden. Even tincture is a combination of some of the Swedish herbs. However, the popularity of the herb spread out so much that people from different countries like Australia made it.

Swedish bitter herbs are made from several different combinations of herbs. Some of the herbs in it are aloe, myrrh, saffron, senna leaf, camphor, rhubarb root, manna, zedoary, carline thistle root, theriac venezian and angelica root.

Aloe is good to cure gastric problems, saffron is good for the digestive system and Myrrh is good for the body’s resistance. So, a combination of all the herbs is exactly right to maintain the overall health system. People use Swedish herbs for their betterment when they are ailing. It is an ancient way of curing various disorders. Most disorders start in a mild form and that is why they can be cured with herbs in the beginning itself.
