How To Put A Belt On A Murray Riding Lawn Mower ?

Keep the lower mower in a position where it is able to cut the shortest possible grass. The position adjustment lever is situated to the left of the driver’s seat. Shift towards the right side of the deck. You will notice a small cylindrical pulley located on the top of the deck and just under the frame of the tractor. Enfold the belt all around the pulley by keeping the belt towards the middle of the round pulley. Drag the belt retainer away by using your hands and gradually slide the belt behind it. Now, drag the belt across to the other side and shift to the left side. Keep the belt all around the rounded pulley, which is situated on the top of the deck and just under the frame of the left side. This is known as the left mandrel pulley. Place the belt similarly as you had put it for the other side and thereafter place it carefully below the retainer clip. The additional belt should be dragged out. You would notice a black pulley known as an idler pulley situated behind the left mandrel pulley. Run the belt along this pulley. This is further connected to the engine which enables spinning of the lawn mower.
With this, you have managed to replace the belt in your Murray land mower.
