Home Remedy To Kill Ladybugs
Ladybugs are a farmer’s friend and they usually do good to your garden and farm. However, too much of anything is bad, and the worst habit of ladybugs is they tend to hibernate in the winters. When they have to hibernate, they come inside people’s homes, make holes on window sills or doors and them burrow themselves inside. They even hibernate inside constructions and other structures. |
If there are just a few ladybirds, it is fine and one can still handle them. However, when a large number of ladybirds decide to hibernate in the same place, this could be really messy. A large group of ladybugs can be quite irritating when they are flying around together. Unfortunately, then you have to end up killing a few.
One of the most common methods of controlling the over population of ladybugs is using insecticides or pesticides. If there are a few of them indoors, then you can hand pick them and throw them outside. Ladybugs do not bite. So, it is usually safe to handle them.
If you notice gaps and cracks in your house on the walls and windows or doors, then seal them off. Use the vacuum cleaner and clean properly. Pay extra attention to the cracks and holes at home. Discard the vacuum cleaner bag away from your home. Also, putting cloves at the windows and on light fixtures helps to keep ladybugs away. Once you have cleaned all the ladybugs from your home, spray an organic insecticide, so that they do not come back into the house looking to build homes in the cracks, gaps and crevices.
