Apple is a very delicious, inexpensive fruit, which is readily available throughout the year, and it is full of nutritional benefits. It is liked by people all over the world.


Basically apples are a very good source of fiber and Vitamin C. In addition, it contains antioxidants and flavonoids, which helps in preventing blood clots, and controlling blood pressure and cholesterol.Apple is also said to help in fighting cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. It also helps in preventing asthma, diabetes and strokes.  It is also helpful in treating problems such as headache, anemia, kidney stones, eye disorders and liver problems.

When you consume one medium sized apple, it gives you about 81 calories, around 21 grams of carbohydrates, 4 grams of fiber, 10 mg of calcium, 10 mg of phosphorus, 159 mg of potassium and 8 mg of Vitamin C. Apart from these it also gives you Vitamin A and Iron. Apples and apple juice both help in replenishing the liquid in our body. To reap the maximum benefits, the apples should be eaten with the peel, and not after removing the peel. Moreover, this fruit is very helpful in losing weight. This is because eating an apple makes you feel less hungry and thereby consume less food.

An apple is a wonder fruit which is a source of so many vital things that our body needs and it also helps us prevent so many problems. Looking at the nutritional value of the apple, it should definitely be made a part of our regular diet.
