Flower Gardening :

What Is A Cabbage Rose ?      If you have not heard the term before, you may be wondering what is a cabbage rose. This is a type of rose that is known for its distinctive bloom. The flower has so many petals that it gives the bloom an appearance of a cabbage. The blooms are quite fragrant and look very pretty. You can easily find cabbage roses in nurseries and florists, and they are pretty easy to grow. You can propagate a cabbage rose with the help of a cutting.

The cabbage rose can be white, pink, red or variegated. The scientific name of the cabbage rose is Rosa centifola, but it is not necessary that the bloom will have a hundred petals. It just means that the bloom has multiple petals, which are ruffled. (See Reference 1) More..

If you are getting married, then you will want one of the best bouquets in the world. You can make a fantastic and memorable bouquet using different types of roses. The good part is that each and every wedding bouquet looks unique as roses come in different sizes, shapes, and colors. In addition, you can also use the same roses to decorate the church and reception venue.

The different types of roses in bouquet include the following:

One of the most popular roses used to make bouquet is the Hybrid Tea rose. It is a rose that is often used as a gift on Valentine's Day. It looks classic and sophisticated. This type of rose has a long stem supporting a single flower at one end. The Hybrid Tea rose comes in a number of beautiful and elegant colors. Some of the different types of Hybrid Tea roses include Black Garnet, Crimson Glory. Brandon, and Bob Hope. (See Reference 1)

Another rose that is quite popular for making bouquets is the miniature rose. These are small roses and can be used to accent the bridal bouquet or even used as an embellishment on corsages. You can use these small sized roses to look petite and elegant. Examples of miniature roses are Rainbow's End, Red Beauty and Tropical Twist. (See Reference 1)

If you are looking to have a colorful bouquet, then go for Floribunda roses. These roses come in a riot of vibrant colors and tend to grow in clusters of loose flowers. Some of the Floribunda roses that make excellent bouquets include Salsa, Daybreakers, Betty Boop, and French Lace. (See Reference 1)

If you want to add accent to a bouquet, go for spray roses. Each spray would have around 5 to 10 blooms and this can help to enhance the appearance of the bouquet. Also, these roses come in pastel colors and are perfect for a subtle look of elegance without being too loud. In addition, they are quite sturdy and can last the whole day without wilting. (See Reference 1)

If you have the money to spare, then opt for Old Garden roses. They may be expensive, but worth every single penny you spend. (See Reference 1) The bouquet will be fragrant and allow many guests to reminisce about their wedding.
