Indoor Orchid Care:
To start with, most indoor orchids need a bright and filtered light to grow well. An east-facing window is the ideal source for such light, but west or south facing windows will do too. Use sheer curtains to filter the direct sunlight and your orchids will bloom beautifully.
Also, remember indoor orchids require correct amount of light. If you expose the orchid to too much light, it will end up getting burned. While too little light will make the leaves a dark green color and your orchid will not bloom.
Take care of the humidity levels. Indoor orchids require high humidity levels, which you can maintain by keeping a saucer filled with water under the pot. In addition, you can mist the leaves once a day or you can keep the plant in a room that has a humidifier. However, make sure that the humidity is not present at night or the orchid will be prone to diseases. If the temperature is high, make sure that the humidity levels are high, and also the circulation of air should be ample.
If you want your orchid to bloom, make sure that there is a difference of 15 degrees between the day and night temperatures in the room. If the temperature is cool right throughout the day, the plant will stop growing.
Just water the indoor orchid one or twice a week in summer. In winter, water the plant once every two week. Fertilize the growing medium around once a month.
