       If you have dogs, then you should not worry because you can have a great looking lawn or garden that is pet friendly. The way to get a dog friendly lawn or garden is to use dog friendly lawn care and garden products. This means also using dog friendly pesticides.

         Most usually pesticides are harmful for dogs and other pets. This is because dogs have a habit of munching on grass and if you use chemicals, it can pose health risks for your dog. The alternative is use dog friendly pesticides and products so that you do not risk your dog’s health. You will also be helping the environment.

        The best dog friendly pesticides that you are use are organic pesticides. These pesticides will take care of the beloved family pet and help in maintaining a healthy and clean environment. These pesticides are made up of natural substances and are bio-degradable. Even when using dog friendly pesticides that you have bought from the local garden supply store, make sure that you follow the instructions and keep the dog indoors until the application dries.

          However, you can even make your own dog friendly pesticide at home without too much worry. To make this pesticide, you need the following items:

  • Baking soda 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil 1 tablespoon
  • Water
  • Castile soap
  • Spray bottle
  • Milk
  • Beer
  • Apple cider vinegar

       Mix the baking soda and vegetable oil in one pint of water. Put this mixture into the spray bottle and shape it well. Then add one tablespoon of castile soap. You can use this spray to prevent fungus growth. Spray the solution on plants and soil every 5 to 7 days.

      You can fill the spray bottle with half milk and half water. This dog friendly pesticide can be sprayed every 3 to 4 days on plants to prevent fungus growth. You can also spray raw apple cider vinegar on leaves and soil to prevent mildew and mold growth.

      Place beer in your garden in a shallow container. This will attract slugs, which come out at night. The slugs will drown in the beer.
